Get to Know Your Therapist!!

My name is Lori Michelle Turner (LMT from birth), I have been a licensed massage therapist (LMT) since 2004, and I've been practicing massage therapy professionally for half of my life. Really!!

My entire family works on the front-line-- in one way or another-- and that has always imprinted on me the opportunity available for me to positively impact the people and community around me.

They have also taught me that my “work” is not a job but rather an opportunity to influence the world that I live in, in a positive way.

I have personally witnessed how exhausting and emotionally taxing these careers can be and can recognize how rewarding they are as well.

People often ask me why I did not pursue nursing, given that both of my parents have been in the field my entire life. While I've got the heart and I've got the spirit for it, I prefer to practice the "Original Medicine" that predates most (if not all) of Big Pharma.

When I was 16 years old, my older sister encouraged me to get my first job as a receptionist at the spa that she worked at. I worked around estheticians, massage therapists, and hairstylists, and that’s when I realized that I really aligned with the massage therapists because I was already helping those around me through touch.

Massage is such a part of me that I have always been a therapist. As a child, I would massage my friend's back when they stayed at my house for sleepovers. The kids who were assigned to sit in front of me in school would often luck out by receiving neck and shoulder treatments. I already did this healing work, naturally, and found out that I could make a living doing so! Brilliant!

Massage has been around WAY longer than modern medicine, or the big pharma-pill-for-the-ill-practices that we’re so accustomed to today, and I just knew (through personal experience) that it was my mission to find a massage school and get certified ASAP.

I love what I do and I love showing people that they don't have to settle for simply living with or only managing their pain, stress, or discomfort. I love helping people to regain mobility that they thought was gone forever, and I especially LOVE helping them realize that they can overcome just about anything that life throws their way. Sometimes, just starting out with a little bit of "me" time can make a world of difference in your life.

It is my mission to provide support and healing for many, many more people for decades to come! Please feel free to reach out to me, I look forward to connecting with and meeting you soon!
